Corsair Scimitar vs Razer Naga: Differences

DPI

These mice are specifically designed for MMO/MOBA games and the mouse sensitivity plays a major role in how you will perform and this is where DPI comes in.

Both, Corsair Scimitar and Razer Naga offer up to 16,000DPI along with 450+ IPS to provide smooth and lag-free gameplay.

The DPI is indeed the most important thing in these types of mice because most of the MMO games require different DPI for the best experience and it really doesn’t hurt to have some additional DPI.

Optical Sensors

One thing is for certain – gaming mice are always equipped with some incredible optical sensors that are just flawless when it comes to providing solid performance.

And just like that, the Corsair Scimitar Pro is also equipped with PMW3367 optical sensor which holds the capabilities of providing a flawless gaming experience.

On the contrary, the Razer Naga Trinity comes with a Razer 5G optical sensor that ensures that movements are without any flickering or smoothening and the aim is precise and accurate.

Both of these mice are equipped with some amazing optical sensors but Razer 5G optical sensor is really the game-changer here.

Design

The Corsair Scimitar Pro very much looks like Logitech G402 at the first glance with its matt black metallic design but other than that, the mouse has quite a sophisticated design. Including a total number of 17 different programmable buttons.

As mentioned, this mouse is specifically designed for MMO games and to support them, there are 12 buttons on the side panel and 5 on the top which makes this mouse ideal when playing MMO/MOBA games.

On the other hand, Razer Naga Trinity has pretty much the same old classic Razer mouse shape but with a slightly different side panel that holds up to 12 programmable buttons.

Razer Naga trinity comes with three different interchangeable side panels that hold 2,7 and 12 buttons which means that Razer Naga Trinity can be used for different purposes than just playing MMO/MOBA games.

Weight

The Corsair Scimitar is nearly 12cm (4.7’’) long, 7.7cm (3’’) wide and almost 4.2cm (1.6’’) tall.

The weight of this mouse is 147g (5.1oz) which is a little too much but it’s expected when you’re getting 17 buttons on the mouse as well.

On the contrary, the Razer Naga Trinity is somewhere near 12cm (4.7’’) long, 7.4cm (2.9’’) wide and 4.2cm (1.6’’) tall.

Weighing at just 120g (4.2oz), Razer Naga Trinity is definitely among the light-headed mice.

It’s certainly easy to play with a light-headed mouse and a majority of the gamers are likely to choose a lighter mouse than a heavy one because it’s not the best choice when playing games like Elder scroll.

RGB Lights

It is almost impossible to find gaming mouse without RGB lights these days and both, the Corsair Scimitar Pro and Razer Naga Trinity are also equipped with them.

The Corsair Scimitar Pro features RGB lights that are completely customizable and can be synchronized with other peripherals as well.

Moreover, the Razer Naga Trinity is equipped with Chroma RGB lights which feature more than 16 million color combinations that you can choose from.

However, there’s not much room for RGB lights on both mice but it’s definitely a nice touch in the design of these mice.

Price

There’s a marginal price difference between these mice and the Razer Naga Trinity is slightly more expensive than Corsair Scimitar Pro.

However, both mice are quite expensive from a buyer’s point of view and you will have to spend quite a lot of money to get your hands on either one of them. But if you’re into MMO’s then these mice are worth it.

The Corsair Scimitar Pro and Razer Naga Trinity are readily available on Amazon.

Corsair Scimitar Pro Review

One of the most praised mice from Corsair, the Corsair Scimitar Pro is among the best gaming mice that are specifically designed for MMO/MOBA games.

It can seriously outperform many gaming mice out there and if you’re looking for a mouse that can be productive while playing something Skyrim then this mouse will come in handy.

However, the concept of ‘only designed for MMO’ might be a concern for those who also like to play fps games and these additional buttons on the side can be a bit annoying.

In the end, Corsair Scimitar is a treat to have if you’re spending most of your time playing MMOs.

Razer Naga Trinity Review

The Razer Naga Trinity is an amazing gaming mouse that is equipped with all kinds of latest technology that contributes to the flawless performance of this mouse.

Razer Naga Trinity is also specifically designed for MMOs but you can also enjoy other games as well because of interchangeable side panels that allow a user to change the panel anytime.

The three different interchangeable side panels are the selling point here and if I had to choose between the two, I’d definitely go for Razer Naga Trinity because of its flexibility.
